Tried a few GU attempts getting a bit higher each time. It eventually wore me out and I settled for dogging my way up (two rests and on Toms gear at the top). Will try to do it in better style next time I'm there.

Lots of fun!

On Tom's gear, cut loose at the top, how much fun can you have?

Slipped off the start, lowered off and went again. Slipped midway, but just about held it. Think I can do this cleaner, but a better attempt than last time.

Ugh. Had a good thrutch on lead, gave up, then struggled up on second. Safe as houses, but watching James talked me into a go on second. Still fell on a tight rope. Will get this on a future attempt.

Wow, haha 😂

20mins later I top out of this 7m climb ready for a stretcher to carry me down, biggest sandbag going. And I wondered why everyone pushing me to do it drew straws in a terrified fashion to pick a second.

Needed a breather before even considering belaying - hardest 7m I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing......horribly awesome route - never again!

Unseconded. Hard and very thrutchy. Gear above your head throughout tho.

tmawer 07/Jun/15 Lead G/U

On Mike's gear....hard! This was a repeat as I appear to have led it previously but have wiped it from my memory!

A route for high friction trousers! Safe but hard work.

Entertaining thrutching. Although awkward it is short lived. Would probably get HVS 5b on grit.

Hilarious, Owain went in for the fatty lanky style, Bill the mermaid jam and Davina went for the squatting midget technique :) On Owain's gear.
