Felt stiff for VS, wouldn't have thought it strange to be 5A. Nice all the same.

First route, very nice, had a ponder whilst coming round the rib.
|Lee Sheard||26/Jun/13||Lead O/S|
Felt more like 4c than 4b. Bold bit is pretty easy though.
With the top arete of Gandolf's Groove Direct.

Thought the very first move was hard (but looked to be avoidable on the L). I thought tough 4c here not 4b, perhaps because the exit is quite overgrown. After that beautiful clean climbing. The top crack also seemed a bit hard for 4b.
Have done before
Choose the hottest day on record for the traverse via Neckband & Bowfell en route for Scafell. Totslly wasted by the time we reached the spring on the Climbers Traverse. Soloed up the Great Slab instead of doing Bowfell Buttress with bivi gear. Slept O/N on Scafell before doing Mickledore Grooves
Thought this hard for the grade and with rather spaced gear.
