Good snow cover not great quality though, walls were running water. Currently at I for the most part with a little ice step of II near the top which is unprotected. Managed to drop my bag just before the top which then proceeded to slide the entire 230m of the Gully and stop at the fork between both North and South Gullies. A long detour down the shoulder of Carn Dearg and a walk up the Red Burn path and back into the main gully reunited us, made for an interesting day.

Climbed the Castle Gullies after backing off Raeburn's Buttress. Made a long day, walked off by moonlight. (No need for headtorches until we reached the forest!)
