As described in the 2010 CC guide, climbing at Symonds Yat is only permitted on the north-west facing cliffs - from The Introductory Rocks to the Final Zone inclusive.
Seasonal Restrictions
Dates: 1 March to 30 June
Reason: Nesting Birds
Peregrine falcons have established a nest since 2019 on Strathdon, in the White Wall. Climbers should therefore avoid all routes from Motorway Madness to Night Nurse, inclusive, during the restricted period.
Rockfax Description
A well-travelled two pitch line that takes on the walls left of Bowlers Hole. Start at a narrowing slim corner tight up against the vegetation on the left-hand side of the wall.
1) 4b, 16m. Climb the narrowing slim corner to a huge tree left of Bowlers Hole and belay.
2) 4a, 15m. Move up to below a red corner with an overhang at its top. Climb up left to a small ledge just left of the overhang and then continue up the corner above to the top and a tree and fence belay. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
First pitch now cleaned. Second pitch from the huge mid height ledge and cave: Start Just left of Bowlers cave. Climb up to below the Red corner. Step left past a large flake and continue up to huge tree belay below the viewpoint fence. Great rock clean route well worth it
