Instead of grooved arete on a very wet day in B3s. First pitch or two feels like vdiff. After that it was a bit scrappy, grassy and muddy. Worth it to get to the terrace though, after which we finished up the gully on the left.

Climbed in B3's and pack for alpine training. Found mild for the grade due to the hot sunny day. We included the rib on the left on the lower section to add more interest. (can imagine a tricky climb in the wet as you rely a lot on friction on some parts) Met mountain rescue on the Belle Vue terrace having a training session. A great climb in superb settings.

first pitch attempted in the rain, in big boots. rapidly changed into rock shoes. slimy and hard for the grade. easier after that, though still some interesting moves on P2, and the scrappy scrambling at mid height more than made up for by the traverse pitch, mild but spectacular...!

Lead all pitches. We have first tried to do it under pouring rain conditions on 6th of August. We had enough of it after reaching the terrace and retreated, without an epic, by scrambling into the little gully. On 13th there were passing showers, most of the route was very wet, but we did it this time.

My first multi pitch. It rained. It hailed. It snowed. My hands were cold lumps of flesh that seemed to belong to someone else. When we got to the top it was dark and we couldn't find our route off. Had to ab off into the darkness with the rope getting stuck multiple times. EPIC. Finally got off the mountain at about 9:30 and refuge at the pub.
