grand day out.spent saturday night at the cc hut helyg..what great escapades have been planned from this hut in days gone bye !.excellent winter scramble up main gulley on bristly ridge gallantly led by rock athletes daz and joss.walk in from ogwen was very difficult in very thick snow .gulley itself was encased in deep powdery snow and dificult to get any purchase but topped out with the moon appearing with lovely views .priceless good day with good company as always.finished off with a pint in bryn tyrch

Amazing Day, Started off at the car park not far from tryfan east face. Before heading along heather terrace. Then onto bristly ridge, first taking on little gully as the wweather was too bad to think about sinister gully. Then negotiating our way over the great pinacles. Then onto the plateaud summit. We just managed to see the cantilever stone but the wind was so strong attempting it would of been really daft. Then a bit of map reading to find our way off as visibility was really bad. And down scree back to heather terrace.

My first time on bristly ridge. It was raining cats and dogs so the rock was really greasy. In a thick mist we could barely see our own noses. Stood atop of the rock spires was awe inspiring. being stood atop a couple of square foot of rock, looking down into the mist, who knew how far below the floor was?
