lean and amazing
David Stevens - AltLd O/S - 30/Mar/13 with Matt Craig
One of the best climbs on the mountain. Crux was lean but hooked out so probably average for grade. The 2 pitches after crux were superb, steady climbing in a great setting. My first winter climb on the minus face and a brilliant one at that (it was the 29th by the way Gary!)

Great climbing all the way. Stunning! With Jez Such
Jules C - 29/Mar/13
The best of the gully climbs on Ben Nevis. Excellent climbing in a stunning location. We even got some sunshine.
GaryK - AltLd O/S - 28/Mar/13 with Ewan Lyons
Crux was in lean condition and hard, led in good order by Jeff. The rest of the route was pretty unrelenting. The full experience and probably the best climb I have done, well worth 4*.

Led P1. P2 proved to be too much, abbed down after recovering ice axe. Awesome looking route though!
Poco Loco - AltLd dnf - 16/Mar/13 with Alastair
Crux was very thin, I fell near the top of the crux and didn't have it in me to lead it again so James went up and retrieved my axe before we retreated - http://www.masterplan-photography.co.uk/2013/03/spanked-minus-one-then-vanishing-gully/

great crux lead on lean ice by John, warm & watery in places, fantastic in others, finish up north east... 4 stars indeed...............
manxclare - AltLd O/S - 02/Mar/13 with jon22
Well it was 15 years of wanting to do this one and over a week of knowing it was in but not being able to do it due to work and lack of partners. Was it worth the wait? Hell yeah! Superb varied climbing with steep, technical bridging, plenty of ice pitches and atmospheric grooves at the top. Mega Classic, favourite route on the Ben especially with the obvious ne buttress finish. Climbing it with the legendary Bart was also a pleasure!

Great climb and great weather.
Ross Barnes - AltLd - 24/Feb/13 with James
Stiff crux with 1 good screw. Hard to start as sugar not ice on L wall although once bridged not so stiff on the arms. Poor belays. Beautiful day/sunset.
davesykes - AltLd - 23/Feb/13 with Neil McAdie
Alan led the steepest pitch. Very good route in excellent condition. Crux took a (good) screw.

Fantastic day! Topped out at 8.30.
GPN - AltLd O/S - 22/Feb/13 with Loz, Shaw Brown
Awesome route. Did this after queues on our intended objective, Orion Direct. This was way better, what a result! Thin ice on p2 and p3.
Adam Booth - AltLd O/S - 22/Feb/13 with Murdo
In great condition plus a late start gave a nice moonlight finish up NEB.

Superb, despite the constant dowsing of ice and snow from folk on NE Buttress! Nice way to top out the Ben for the first time!

Very thin overall and especially for the feet on the side walls at the crux and at the second rock step (more like a 2nd crux with a wild overhang and committing move left). Tenuous and thin ice made for committing moves and small hooks, but easily the best gully line I have been on - Minus 2 next!
