Snow field has melted back to make approach snow free now. Beautiful weather and had the entire corrie to ourselves :) Did in 6 pitches. Thought the crux was below the sentry box just before the huge holds, not where the guidebook suggests. Good interesting climbing combined with wild exposure makes this a fantastic route!

8hrs total, car to car. 7 pitches. Some ice/snow still around the bottom of the route making for interesting approach. Climbed in trainers, first pitch is sightly mucky but the rest is clean. Very solid throughout, route finding quite straightforward, a fair bit of stuck/doomed pro leads the way. P5 probably the best which was the more vertical of the pitches on good edges and flakes. The best route of this grade that I have climbed. (HS 4b ****)

I've done this 3 times before, twice as rock route and once in winter. This 4th time was almost as hard as the winter route due to difficulties getting onto the route (very deep Bergschrund) and very grubby lower pitches. We had to do the winter finish due to large snow patch on the summer line! Even this required an axe (we had axe and crampons to get to the route)

An awesome day with Stuart. Had the corrie to ourself the whole day as far as I could tell. Swung leads, myself on pitch 1,3 & most of 5th. Stu took 2,4 and joined the last part of 5 to 6. Definitely worth four stars but felt undergraded for me there were three short sections of hs with severe in between. Must be epic in winter!
Cameron94 - AltLd - 30/Aug/13

Lead pitches 2, 4, end of 5 and 6. Did 5 and 6 in one pitch as weather was getting wet - was just doable with a 50m rope stretched to get to good belay. Route is clean, belays are good and route is easy to find (following the SMC book) Stiff for a severe.

The rock was wet, muddy and vegetated when we got there, not nice to climb, then it started raining heavily on the 3rd and probably hardest crux pitch, before the sentry box it was wet and dangerous and not fun so we bailed out.  4 abseils later and various bits of gear left behind we got down safe.  Definitely one to do, but when its dry and the route has had plenty of traffic. Some crag swag for the next people up it.

Done as 5 50m pitches. Did the even ones. Crampon marks & Dan Baileys description seems to have lead us onto the winter finish but didn't detract from what was a top day out in the hills.

Used Dan Bailey's description thus looks like we finished up part of the winter route. Climbed in 5 pitches, led 1,3,5. Very windy to begin with but eased off on the last couple of pitches. Lovely route with some interesting, albeit well protected moves!

Great route with amazing exposure. A shame the difficult sections on the upper half of the route are so avoidable by traversing out right. Plenty of evidence that people had done that. Shame as they would have missed the best bits. Keep to the crest as much as possible. Just a couple of tricky moves with one tricky step up with a hand jamming hold. Lost count of the number of stuck cams on teh route!

I lead pitchs 1 and 5. In my honest opinion the crux of the route was on pitch 5 where you have to do some crazy laybacking/ crack jamming from standing on a knife edge flake with 200m (ish) of air directly below you. Very exposed!!! Not a severe grade move!!! Awesome day out (but very long :)

Brilliant!. Even in June we had do a snow/ice pitch to get to the start. Andy led that cutting steps needed for us in our trainers. Used pointy stones as ice axes... Man the tool maker survived yet again! The climb proper was superb. I remember on the top we swilled the three beers I had secretly lugged in my sack up the hill and the route in unusually sweltering Scottich mountain weather. Snowbuntings flitted around us on the top.
