Great warm up for indicator wall (though involved quite a traverse to link them up! Smith's would be more logical link) Tough for grade III today, more like IV at the top, good though, two distinct pitches. Hard to find a belay on the snow-slope above, be warned.....

A good route. Think it gets a grade III for it's short length relative to other routes on the Ben rather than the steepness of the ground. Spindrift and fresh snowfall moving in with strong winds later on in the day was a shame. Reckon ascending this route then descending down into the gully isn't suitable for beginners since the descent - a traverse then descent - is down a fairly steep snow slope - think if I did it again I'd continue to the top by one of the routes above. No bomb-proof belay at the top of the route either - just doing the best you can on a snow slope - icefall further up though. Looked at point 5 but reckoned it looked climbable but not easily protectable. Big avalanche risk building on Sunday night!
