quite good condition at the moment - still tons of pigeon poo at the ledge but its all dry and relatively unmucky/slippery.Mind you, as you approach a long line of pigeons glowers intimidatingly at you over the edge with murder in their hearts...

Went over to the area with the intention of doing great western or one of the classics on central climb area but they were all taken so ened up doing this. Glade they where dispite its appearance and name it was completly dry and was some of the best VS climbing i've ever done, great laybacks, jaming and a roof feature (easily overcome by rocking over on its left side) 4 stars?? if the pigeons pissed off and it was cleaned up though it wasn't really an issue.

Steady away except a real thrutchy battle to get established in the 2/3 height crack. Arrived at the ledge which was covered in sun warmed bird poo and stank - was very nearly sick on my belayer. Worth the 3 stars for the climb. Worth minus 3 stars for the bird crap.

I tried to second this climb about 2 years ago and got lowered off from the second crux (the top out). This afternoon I led it with no falls. Very awkward gear, tricky moves to enter the chimney at the half-way point and a technical top-out makes this the hardest VS I have climbed. Still not HVS though. You get a no hands rest once established in the chimney.

I'm not very sure that this is harder than Central Climb, but it is much, much better than it looks and there are lots of nice rests before all the hard bits :)

Felt like a big undertaking. Not used to the exposure at the time. All the holds are great and you can stick your nose right in the back of the corner if you starting having a wobbler. Brilliant route.
