Rain decided to appear for the committing 'swing left' move... nothing like rain to hurry you up - one hell of a move in the rain. Enjoyed the excursion to the top of the shark and the lovely start.
Some routing issues lower down, stayed right of buttress until shark pinnacle. 3 pitches then scrambled.
Didn't fancy the swing left below the pinnacle without a rope so dodged section up right

We approached from the path to Sub Cienifion Arete, staying high above Llan Bochlwyd. A better approach is either of the two paths branching off the main Cwm Idwal path, pass the northern most tip of Llan Bochlwyd, after 300m branch right (faint path). Locate the buttress with three almost horizontal lines of quartz with a deep cleft on it's right, move right about 75m and up 30m to find the start of Shark Buttress. (Teaching ML Nav for Jack on approach & exit)

Big boots on a very cold January day, Jets buzzing us. found it a bit tricky not been able to feel fingers and glad took the rope. A good scramble tolen between bad weather days on suprisingly clean, dry rock. A good mounaineering day out.
