Not a lot of rock climbing for the height gained but at least the full pitch of waist deep steaming jungle made me laugh. What climbing there is is pretty good if a little bold for the grade. A 30m rope made some of the (FRCC Selective) pitch lengths appear slightly suspect. All in all a nice day out on a pretty scrappy route.
jkarran - Lead - 12/Aug/12 with Sarah
Pitch 1 is good climbing, a little tough for the grade. Nice airy traverse in pitch 4. Pitch 5 is bold but straightforward. Route is somewhat spoiled by 2 pitches of thrashing through bracken in the middle.

First pitch has a hard move or two with poor protection, then goes up through thick vegetation - followed by a grassy walk and then finally some good and steep moves on the last pitch and a half!

Not what I'd call a classic - a rubbish route! Top pitch was ridiculously poorly protected for a V. Diff., and thrashing through vegeatbles lower down was most unpleasant.
As part of a Langdale-link-up - routes on Scout Crag, White Ghyll and Pavey Ark (and ideally would have been Gimmer too, but it was too late by the time we got over there).

1st & last pitches are good value for V Diff. Excellent bilberries on pitch 2!
Simon2005 - Lead O/S - 09/Sep/10 with RonC
I led all but pitch 2.
The strangest 'classic' that I can remember! Pitch 1 was good (felt more like Severe). Pitch 2 was a walk through the bilberries. Pitch 3 was a walk along a ledge. The first half of pitch 4 was a walk, followed by a couple of nice moves. Then pitch 5 was long and serious with 3 gear placements in 27m. The midges began to descend on pitch 2, and by the time we topped out were unbearable!

Without doubt the very worst and most unpleasant climb I've ever done! Top of first pitch includes, as my climbing partner put it, the 'hanging gardens of Babylon'! Other pitches not much better.
