Rockfax Description
Excellent sustained and fingery climbing up the ochre wall. The rock turns a bit dodgy towards the top. © Rockfax

Such a nice climb, very small crimp followed by powerfull sequences. Took me a while to link it as the foot placements were crucial for me. So glad to finally get it :)

First 7b. Whoop whoop.

3rd go. First go pulled of a large chunk just below the first clip, thankfully my belayer was paying attention. Second go pulled of an important gaston just before the easy loose higher ground. Climbed clean third go, might suggest 7B or 7B+ as without the gaston the last hard move in somewhat harder

Having probs with the first hard move last week. Seemed a OK today after I started to push and twist on my L foot a bit more. Thought it might feel contrived when looking at it from the ground but once climbing it feels totally independent. Difficulties are quite short. Great route understandably popular.

Second go, reachy moves baffled me on the flash. Ok once I knew what to do. Felt a couple of grades harder than the 7a to the right

well happy to get the onsight...felt like 7b to me but sounds like i must have missed something from other comments as i did do some pretty big reaches!

Pleased to get this second go, even though I suspect it's easy at 7b. I'll take the guide book grade though! 7b in the Rockfax but only 7a+ here, a bit mean but perhaps closer to the real grade... The crux isn't obvious but was ok once I knew what to do. Some so-so rock but that doesn't get in the way too much.

3rd go, and I tried it briefly a year ago. I kept thinking this was very easy 7b, but still took some effort to link...
