A nice route on good rock. The initial groove is much harder than anything else on the route, so look out for protecting your second with a high runner. For a more balanced route, consider starting up pitch 3 of Original Route.

Diccon lead first pitch, crux moving up behind the pinnacle and step right 4a.(rest of the route was Diff). I lead second pitch ignore the guide book distances, 3m to the corner which is 2m high.

First four metres of climb were pretty hard for the grade but quite simple after that. I split first pitch into two to be able to see Polly seconding. Descent via large split blocks slippery after drizzle. Would consider belaying down first bit of descent next time.

typical lake district day, cloud level below the crag and raining, so easy climbs it was, nice exposure around 1st belay ledge- decent to the right has proper dodgy rock step- take care (specially in the slimey wet)
