loved it

Fun. The jamming crack is quite sustained for VS4c.
treg - AltLd O/S - 20/Sep/14 with Tim L

Tougher than it looks.
Lumbering Oaf - Lead O/S - 18/Sep/14 with Rach Batt

Lead P1. Pretty good but P2 is harder than VS 4c.

Shame about the indistinct first pitch. It is good climbing up the black slab right of the corner but very little worthwhile gear without moving back left. Main pitch very good.

rested on 2nd pitch

I can't recommend this in its current state. The start is a veggie slab to a wet corner (I won't complain about this because the guidebook gives fair warning) and then the main crack is really dirty. I expect it would be a nice climb, probably even worthy of the star if it was clean, but I can't imagine it ever getting clean. Any rain will just wash more dirt down from above, regardless of how much traffic it gets. The only disappointment of the trip. It felt pretty stiff for VS 4c (maybe HVS 5a) but maybe that's just because of the condition of the crack - somehow I'm a lot less motivated when I'm not enjoying the climbing.

Moved off Indy 500 onto this by total accident. Did it in one pitch. Very hard finish with the large off-widthy crack.
khalidq - Lead O/S - 11/Sep/13 with Chris Colebrook

Lead P2, ran out of gear the right size, so abbed down to retrieve the gear from lower in the crack. no falls

Ran both pitches together nearly ran out of rope had to belay at the very top of the crack. The second is where it starts getting interesting.

Holy crap!!!! The 2nd pitch is undergraded, ha ha! Been climbing really well this year, onsighting upto E2, but got completely shut down on this. Ran up every other VS that i tried on the island so i don't know how this is VS 4c. Excellent gear, big cams, but proper steep and hugely sustained. Maybe i had a bad day but got pumped to death on the jams, pulled on 1 bit gear and then had a death struggle all the way to the top. Next up required a hoist as did the 3rd (solid climber at VS)!!!!!!! However this is not to put anyone off, just fair warning, it is superb climbing and would get 3 stars and the plaudits if it sat at Stanage.

SCC led 1st pitch clean whilst I had an epic on the 2nd pitch!! The moves were not difficult, just too steep for me to do in one go!

Easy 1st pitch. Dirty & sweaty 2nd pitch crack line which Chris attempted to layback - FAIL.

Ines Pitch 1, me pitch 2. 1st pitch certainly felt a lot easier than 4c and the 2nd pitch felt quite hard for 4c.
