From Cabane Tracuit (long hut walk to this previous day) 5-00 am start steady plod over and up the Turtmann glacier quite crevassed but plenty of snow on route and some fresh stuff due to overnight storm. Three on rope as Chris Turner in hut on his own, he joined Russ and T for ascent/ decent. Enjoyable route not too many parties on route although summit got rather congested. Some intereting crevasses to cross just prior to summit. Up and down in five hours nice traditional hut. Perhaps the easiest 4000 m summit I have done. (Excluding the hut walk of course which was a long one but enjoyable with superb scenery. (2 hours down from hut back to Zinal Village)
