Tried to approach the hut late afternoon after climbing Chèré Couloir in the morning. Took ages climbing up to the ridge due to poor ice, poor acclimatisation and exhaustion. Didn't reach the hut until 10pm. Ab'ed back down next morning dropping my camera on the way. Not my finest Alpine moment.

Oops! Slipped when lost concentration moving together with one axe and no gloves. Didn't go too far fortunately! Snow and ice in crap condition early afternoon. Led the Kuffner next day without any problems!
