βeta: As one walks up the coastal path you are treated to your first glimpse of the stunning, seaside monoliths. The excitement builds on approach as, from afar, the rock resembles the rhyolitic stone of north wales forged by Poseidon himself into towering forms. However, one quickly realises that this is more akin to climbing rotten wood than rock. I’ll be complaining to the Climbers club for cajoling me into the long drive to this mountain of choss and to the beach bar for the shit coffee. Side note - chalk not needed as the hold are full of the dust of their former selves | βeta? | |
