More like Cripple Eek! A solid lead by Tim. The 'rock' on the first 6 metres or so to the ledge isn't too loose or too chossy but it certainly isn't solid and clean. There is no decent gear, so falling off here would probably result in both the leader and the belayer tumbling down the steep drop below the narrow belay ledge (had a cam in for the belay which looked half decent but wouldn't want to test it). From the ledge the rock improves, the gear is pretty good and as you tune in to the style of climbing you start to enjoy it. It's actually really good, bridging most of the way and pulling up on weird hand holds (a bit like Cenotaph Corner but better), then jugs to get round the roof (pray that it doesn't fall down with you on it, it looks solid enough but this is the Lleyn so who knows!). Would have been gripping to lead, as evidenced by Tim unloading about 20 pieces of gear into it.

Really good, very worthwhile. The initial section is pretty steady but if something gave you'd knacker yourself. Better gear but not much redundancy for the the first half of the main wall (which isn't as much of a romp as I expected, really on your legs). More conventional for top half.

Solid lead from owain. A classic corner climb. The rock gets better and better with height.
