Starting round to the right climb the arete then traverse left under the roofs, crossing Hell Gate Crack to finish up the last moves of Gavel Neese. The start is quite bold and pumpy too. © Rockfax

Looks like there will be gear for the traverse, but struggled to find any so backed off
Rather committing sequence on traverse with a crap cam on two lobes. The ground drops rapidly over ankle snapping boulders. The moves are probably 4c but felt necky, tickling HVS I think.

Chris' lead - took him a while to commit to the initial traverse...
Climb/controlled jumped to the floor a couple of times and gave the rope a few tugs from the floor to check the first cam so I suppose 'clean' onsight is pushing it!
