Moved together over wet lower slabs in approach shoes & changed to rock boots for infamous slot, which while a struggle had more gear than expected. Very very wet. Off route on final pitch up a series of overhangs rightwards along terrace (VS?) and then traverse across to Cioch.

Interesting and esoteric. Climbed in boots because my feet were cold. Patches of dry and warm rock, verglas, snow and running water. Some hard obstacles, thrutching and hauling up, swearing and sweating and some sublime climbing too. Fine positions. Finished on the Cioch. Brilliant.

Done mostly in boots as scramble to start with. Changed to rock shoes for the last chimney but soaking wet and mossy so slipped off. A hard push to get up then a wee scamble in the snow, then realised we'd gone too high so had to traverse over to the Cioch.
