25m. After an easy start up the slab at its highest point this line breaches the centre of the sweeping bulge. Tenuous moves on undercuts lead right to a powerful crux off small edges reaching to a handrail. Continue following the cool line of cobbles above.

Only 18 years since my last 8a, at this rate will be 68 before the next. Finally the weather gave us one decent weekend day. Thanks to all concerned, you know who you are ;-)

After sitting out an hour and a half of drizzle in the freezing gully it finally dried up enough to get two good RP attempts on this.Tickled the brownstone sloper both times. Crucial for me to take the last right hand crimp/sprag really accurately. So far its always been imperfect.

At last - been a long journey. 3rd redpoint go of the day when didn't really expect it. Felt very nervous (and pumped) on the top wall.

Oh so close....... I hate red pointing! (Truth be told in retrospect I didn't have the feet well enough sussed to succeed so not really that close at all! added 21.08.14)

much closer tonight - before the midges arrived. inches away from the brown sloper towards the end of the crux. Redpoint pressure now!

Groundhog Day! Except this week instead of mild and humid it was damp and totally freezing... Then the front arrived!

peter.clarkson1 02/Aug/14 Lead dnf

Moves come together thanks to Daves beta, conditions sub optimal today

Found the boulder crux quite hard, not sure if the big plate jug on the left was in so missed it out and got a sequence going through the crux involving some high tenuous heel hooks. Found the link from the jug to the top straightforward and just need to dial the boulder section.

Too drained from Weakest Link to make much of this!

some progress - top wall sorted, and worked out best place to make the grim clip from. Red point time next unless I dont get back this season with the cold coming

could do all the moves but think making the clip of the in situ draw will be desperate!
