25m, 2 pitches. A useful prelude to Dolmen Buttress. The combination with one of the Buttress routes and the continuation ridge and tower gives quite a long climb of easy standard. About 80 feet below the toe of the Buttress a rib of rock extends from the left (east) side of West Gully. The route follows the next rib to the left cairn at the foot.
1) 25 feet. Climb/scramble the rib by its right-hand corner to a ledge and belay.
2) 45 feet. Traverse the rib to its left-hand corner and climb this, finishing up the crest where the rib narrows at the top 20 feet ahead is the start of Dolmen Buttress.

J.W. B. Barnes, D. Clutterbuck. 08/Apr/1955.
