An unbelievably good day--the views and conditions were simply stunning. Step-cutting ascent, hard neve in places, water ice in others, all covered with a couple of inches of fresh snow.

Not exactly in condition, though still plenty of snow in the not so steep sections. Going only with the ice axe, leaving the crampons in the car proved to be the right choice of equipment.
