300m, 6 pitches. The classic of the valley. Just at the entrance to Gressoney La Trinte the road forks right. Park here and look up on the impressive forked cascade on the right hand side. Five pitches with pitches 3 and 5 being the stiffer ones. A 20 minute walk leads to two fairly gentle approach pitches. Pitch 3 has a short section of of 85 degree ice up a narrow gully. 70 degree ice on pitch 4. At the split the left hand fork gives 60m of interesting varied ice whilst the right hand fork gives steep (85-90 degree) sustained climbing. Care required on the top pitch as the formation can funnel avalanches
