The Long Promenade* HS 4b

Rockfax Description
A pleasant girdle of this section of the crag from The Promenade to Trafalgar Wall taking the obvious line. Probably best soloed to avoid cutting across teams on the proper climbs. Not marked on the topo, but you shouldn't get lost. © ROCKFAX

UKC Logbook Description
A great wander. Should only be attempted at very quiet times as it crosses loads of popular climbs. Start up The Promenade and traverse right at the ledge. Reverse the Anchor Traverse to reach Hollybush Gully. Climb the traverse of Powder Monkey Parade into the cleft of Polaris Exit. Reverse this into Admiral's Gully then follow the obvious ledge across the Trafalgar SLab to finish up Trafalgar Wall.

Ticklists: Froggatt to Black Rocks (BMC) - The Grade List, Eastern Peak Grit 100 VD- VS, All trad climbs at Birchen Edge.

Technically onsight I guess, but I've previously climbed all the routes this one crosses. Very nice moves over good rock, definitely one to recommend (for a quiet day).

Led P1, belaying in the chimney of Admiral's Progress owing to serious rope drag! A fun, if potentially rather antisocial expedition.
