UKC Logbook Description
This is the original line climbed in 1955 and given Severe. It has been badly described for years in guidebooks and may well have led to people climbing the easy-angled wall to the left thinking they were on a Severe. The actual route tackles the steep left-hand side of the wall and October Arete Original moves right onto the right arete of that wall.

FA. John Fearon 1955.
