Undercut Crack** E2 5c
[Henry havin' a burl fest!, 2 kb]8m.

Rockfax Description
The short crack through the left-hand side of the great roof is a real gritstoner's glory, where subtlety is definitely not required. Be prepared for a brutal battle is the best advice! © ROCKFAX

FA. Allan Austin 1958. Interestingly the route was originally graded HVS by the Yorkshire hotshot fresh from Almscliff.

Ticklists: Burbage, Millstone and Beyond Routes Graded List, Peak Rock/9/Gritstone in the Sixties.

Beaten on this about ten years ago. Steady today, maybe I'm improving!

Gave up trying to lead it,thought I'd have another go on bottom end after watching Joe cruise it. It was just as hard - only my hands hurt more

So good. Very similar to Browns crack at Ramshaw. Top out was horrid, got my elbow stuck in the crack!

cruised this easily tonight (back on form again? or just a lot cooler and better conditions for grit), was feeling so relaxed on the jams mid roof I even stopped to place some gear. Excellent 3 star roof jamming :) !!!
Graeme Hammond - Lead rpt - 28/Jul/11 with james pcc

Clean in one go from the ledge under the roof (i.e. all the hard climbing up to the roof is a mod/diff), 2 falls/several retreats before getting a solid locker in the crack. (removing one of the pieces of gear made it easier though i almost did it the first time). Despite the cuts (didn't tape up!) like to do it again clean from the ground.

Had two very poor effort goes and really didn't make much of an impact at all before shouting 'take I'm a little girly girl with a little girly voice and no pubes'
