Eventful day - 3 falls from other teams, fortunately none serious. I led the easier pitches.

Fun route, miles better than the polished single-pitch routes!

Great introduction to the style of climbing in Aliefroide. Really recommend it as a warm up route.

P4 is the best. Top pitch more 5a than the 5c in the book.

Local guidebook and general guidebook give different grades for the climb. MN did the two "5c" pitches, which were both fine even including the crux...which has a bit of tat on if you wanted it. Accidentally belayed from La Cocarde. New abseil points at top link with the old gully abseils. Did it on a cool day, great views. Nice French guide followed us up. Good belay conversations.

Richard led 1,3,5. Nice lead on the traverse. I led 2,4 and part of 6. Fell at top of P4, lot of rope out and twisted ankle badly. Abbed off station half way up pitch 6

PN led p1,3,5,7. 4 abs to the ground. Excellent climb. Very relaxed as we were last on the route and behind a number of other teams. 4.5 hours from start to finish. Tricky traverse on p.3. 7 pitches.
