UKC Logbook - 'Damascus Crack Left-Hand Finish'

As per definitive (VS 4b) up the crack diagonally left to the ledge not topping out on the middle of the tower. The top of the tower above the crack has no relieable gear that I can see and rock fax lists finishing direct up there as VS 4c. Seeing as the gear in the crack would be well below your feet and a fall would probably involve hitting rock lower down and that the hardest move is mantelshelving the top I think it would be very stiff VS.

Bit of an epic this one! Mark lead and bailed to the right after much tooing, froing and deliberation. I went second and struggled over the top move through the middle of the flakes! Kev got it better and moved left to get over the flakes of the top move with style.

this is the best climb i have ever done to date. really really enjoyed it, nice moves with the finish to the left been very exposed with big moves over the overhangs but with bomber protection, amazing climb well worth it!!!
