Crinkle Crag Area Conwy, WALES
Climbs 45 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude Tidal – Faces N
Crag features
There are seven crags in this area. the first is Hamburger Buttress which is above the road and subjected to the same restrictions as Pen Trwyn. The rest are down at sea-level. Crinkle Crag is the most extensive and Wonder Wall has the best climbing but all the crags have the same high quality rock, pleasant atmosphere and solitude. The area has been very neglected in the past, with most climbers preferring the easy pickings of the Marine Drive. Seals, dolphins and even whales have been more likely companions than another pair of climbers. The development of Wonder Wall may change this since it now boasts the best set of E4 wall climbs on the whole of North Wales Limestone, all resin-bolted, non-tidal and unrestricted (but sometimes a wee bit cold).

Access notes
Continue along the Marine Drive from Pen Trwyn, past the summit turn-off, and past the aforementioned Big Mac Buttress. For a toll-free approach, drive to the summit of the Orme from Llandudno and drop down the road by St.Tudno’s Church. Park by a gate below Hamburger Buttress. (Notice the arrow and writing on the road by this gate and ponder on its purpose). See the route pages for the individual approaches from this point.

Wonder Wall is now (June 2013) fully bird restricted and after a visit there yesterday I can see why - the place stinks and has nests and eggs strewn across the crag.
