The Rock rhyolite outcrops of Poll Carn and Maiden Castle are conspicuous features of the landscape on the hillside just west of the hillside just west of the A40 between Treffgarne and Wolfscastle about 6 miles north of Haverfordwest.
Maiden Castle consists of a number of pinnacles which form a dramatic outline and silhouette. Numerous boulder problems and routes up to 30 feet in length are possible.
Poll Carn is the larger carg to the south west of Maiden Castle with easy angled slabs on its south east side and walls of excellent rock on the north west and west facets offering short routes and problems.
