Ax Bonascre

Climbs 23 – Rocktype Granite – Altitude 1283m a.s.l – Faces SE

Crag features
A small granite outcrop high up near the ski station of Bonascre above the town of Ax-les-Thermes. Blocky rock with several cracks giving something of a change to the limestone climbing more typical of the Ariege. High altitude so perhaps a choice for hot summer days.

500m before the ski-station of Bonascre and opposite a water purifying station park on the left in a large open area. A path heads down from here to Ax, but head off to the right along a path through fields, more or less level. 200m on you will see the summit dome of the main rocks to the left, go over a small wall and follow a small track down to the foot of the routes.
