Access notes
Park at Embsay Reservoir, SD 999544, then walk along the side of the reservoir to the access point onto Barden Moor. Cross the stile onto the moor, then turn E for approximately 50m to a path which leads directly up the hillside. Follow this until level with the crag, then contour across to it. [Rod Witham, "to avoid leading people into a deep and nasty bog"]
