WAS: a "Typically bleak" quarry, but close to Cardiff. Mostly steep slabs with pegs and bolts: routes up to 42m. In winter a large pool forms in the middle, which may make approaches to the central wall hard.
NOW: is filled in so rather hard to climb in.
Permission to climb is not granted (1991 g/b). Check access situation with the BMC's database.
From the M4 take J33, A4050. Leave at first roundabout, junc with A48, head tw Barry past TV masts, to r/bout (pub on R). Turn R up narrow lane, R again to park at quarry gates.
Walk 5 mins to quarry back wall.
