Spadeadam Crag Cumbria, ENGLAND
Climbs 20 – Rocktype Sandstone (hard) – Altitude 193m a.s.l – Faces S
A secluded crag with a few good lines. A very peaceful location outside of firing times, but could do with a brush.
Go to Gilsland just off the A69.Follow signs to Spadeadam and Butterburn. At the top of the hill there is an MOD restricted entry roud, go right to just past a mature stand of conifers on the right. Park in a layby just after a small bridge. Follow the signed way to "Irthing Gorge" on the right. The crag is on this side of the river, past a stone building with a concrete roof.
