Climbs 80
Rocktype Conglomerate
Altitude 414m a.s.l
Faces all
The area offers sport and trad, boldering and probably deep water soloing. I only climbed on Conglomerate. But I saw granite and sandstone. I saw 20 routs around the small area I climbed. They claim theres around 80 with new routs being put up all the time.
Most crags are in the shade as it gets very hot.
Best part is that each crage is usually 10 minits from a waterfall and splash pool. Usually with a man with a cool box that will sell you a ice cold beer for £1.
I've added the few routes which I did here and made up the names and grades as there is no guide book available.
The sports routes above are scatered around the town. Anything from 10 minutes up to an hours walk. But there are massive faces around the area untouched. There isn't a guide as yet. But the local club/guides are very friendly and super keen. www.foradatrilha.com.br.
Lencoise is 7 hours by coach east of Salvador. Its a small town but has lots of small bars and restarants. Its just the right side of civillised.
This area is massivly undeveloped in terms of climbing.
There is a guide for the climbing around Lençois however its not very good and hasn't been updated for some time. Look for the FB page for Leçois climbing community and hope to get some info from the locals. I only sport climbed however apparently the trad climbing around Morro do Pai Inacio is good. Good luck.......don't spend too long though just head to Igatu, its much better. seanhendo123 - 13/May/18 |
