Crag features
Bire (2502m) is the obvoius and good looking pear shaped (the name comes from Birne - German for Pear) peak above Kandersteg and contains a couple of mountaineering style bolted routes on it's south east flank.

Access notes
Cable car from Kandersteg to 1682m then 50 min walk to crag.

Descent much longer than guide says and part of the top section of the path is reported to have partially washed away - more like 2 hours and quite tricky.
