Raven's Tor (Dovedale) Staffordshire, ENGLAND
Climbs 25 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude 200m a.s.l – Faces E
Crag features
Superb crack and face climbing on solid rock (40m high) in a beautiful setting above the river. Southern Rib (HVS 5b), Venery (HVS 4c) and Parrot Face (HVS 5a) are the middle grade classics. THE route of the crag however is Left-hand Route, an excellent jamming pitch at E1 5b. For something more demanding try Central Wall (E2 5c), Deltoid Shuffle (E4 5c) or The Temptress (E5 6a). Rarely crowded, despite what the guidebooks say.
