Incredible bouldering area.

Approach notes

Construction of a new hydro power plant might cause some access issues...

Two buses run each day between Manali and Kaza, passing through Chattru (in either direction) around lunch time. From Manali buses leave at approximately 5.30 and 6am and take about 5-6 hours. The bus route is dependent on the Rhotang Pass being open, so summer months only and is subject to delays and closure due to landslides during the monsoon.

One of the tea shops, Chandra Dabha, is run be a guy called Lalu who speaks great English and welcomes boulderers. They have copies of Pil's topos and you can stay overnight in the teashop or bring a tent.
