Creag Dhearg

Hebrides, SCOTLAND

Climbs 11 – Rocktype Gneiss – Altitude 41m a.s.l – Faces NW

Crag features
This crag forms the back-wall of Bay Analepp on the north-west side of the island. The top of the crag lies at 150m above sea level. The lower sections are steep but grotty and bird infested. However, the upper 60m wall offers excellent quality gneiss. The wall can be viewed from spurs of land to the north or south. There are two facets to the wall; a steep and impressive Left Wall and the Upper Right Wall. The main features of the left side are an almost continuous pink intrusion just right of the left arête and a prominent central yellow streak of lichen.
