Unattractive outlook over Teeside; light-fingered local youths. Recommended routes - The Path back to the Car" - Bob Wightman.
Disagree with Bob's rather miserable description, unless you don't like and can't spell Teesside. Someone has to do industry. I have experienced no bother from local youths in 3 visits, although occasional off-road trail bikers on top of the Nab briefly made a racket. Few people other than climbers go into the main crag zone. Most venues are worth a visit at least once. That said, I wouldn't go in a cold north wind. Pleasant last night in summer evening sunshine.
Reached from the village of Eston or on the public footpath across the moor from the Cross Keys Inn on the A171.
A crag is what you make of it. Plenty to go at here. Franco Cookson - 20/May/13 |
