Scratchells Bay

Isle of Wight, ENGLAND

Climbs ? – Rocktype Chalk – Altitude 1m a.s.l – Faces ?

Crag features
'Skeleton Ridge' is the chalk ridge that runs up the most western tip of the Island; it is not part of 'The Needles' itself, but access is tidal.

Access notes
You will need to contact the National Trust Old Battery for access, as the abseil stake into Scratchells bay and the belay point, (once you have topped out) are on their land.

It is also recommended that you alert the coastguard to your activities, so that you don't get 'rescued' unintentionally. Once you have completed the route, another call to notify the coastguard that you are safely off the route is advised.
