Crag features

The sea cliffs just north of LLwyngwril below the hillside of Gallt Fflynnon yr Hydd provide more sport routes for Meirionnydd. Generally short at 10 metres or less the routes are on good rock faces , easily accessed , well bolted with resin ring bolts , usually have a double bolt lower off and best of all get loads of sunshine. Over the years the bolts have been sea battered but still appear intact. The LO bolts may require a good look as the topn of the cliff is slowly eroding.

www.midwalesbouldering.com has some videos of the boulder development here over the last few years. Now over 40  problems the details of which will be posted on the website until the Snowdonia South Bouldering Guide 2022/23 gets printed .

The bouldering starts at Fairbourne beach and conrtinues all the way to LLwyngwril

Approach notes

Access can be quick or less quick depending on how much attention you give to signs on gates . Just north of the village of LLwyngwril by the bridge called Pont Caletwr are two laybys . The one nearest the village is best for parking : walk doen the track to the fgorge and boulder hop down the river onto the beach.

or.....
Walk along the road into the village for 250 metres to where there is an old gate on the right by a plot of land  : a path leads directly down to the sea : the cliffs are 300 metres northwards along the shore.
