Sgurr Finnisg-aig

Climbs 3 – Rocktype UNKNOWN – Altitude 300m a.s.l – Faces NE

Crag features
Broken NE face of Sgurr Finnisg-aig on Aonach Mor gives good water ice routes in very sustained cold conditions, particularly the Allt nah-Aire waterfall.

Access notes
The best way in is to walk from the Nevis Range base station along the forestry tracks and then take a line up the right hand side of the Allt nah-Aire which allows you to cross the fence. If you end up on the left hand side of the stream/fence there is a place you can duck under without causing any damage.

The best descent is over the top and down the well marked path to the Gondola top station.

Volunteer to moderate Sgurr Finnisg-aig
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local crags. You would check updates and approve climbs added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. [ read more ]
