Saddle Tor Devon, ENGLAND
Climbs 40 – Rocktype Granite – Altitude 410m a.s.l – Faces ?
Crag features
Great bouldering place with many brilliant problems and some really quite challenging traverses! Mats are well advised due to the height of some of the problems however the landings are nice and flat. Most of the routes are more difficult than other places with a 6a and above trend but lends itself to some of the best problems around.
More detailed route information can be found on Dave Henderson's www.javu.co.uk site which gives an excellent online guide to most of the moor and the surrounding area along with others!
Can get a bit blowy up here sometimes as there isn't much in the way of shelter some wrap up warm!
Best parking is the second of the two on the right after the top Haytor car park as you can see you're car!
If you walk in the bonehill direction from the tor for about 300 yards you will come across the excellent hidden traverse which is host to a few nasty traverses! Well worth a look!
