Scharnitzspitze

Wetterstein, AUSTRIA

Climbs 4 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude 2463m a.s.l – Faces S

Crag features
The smaller neighbour of the better-known Schüsselkarspitze. The climbs here are shorter and for the most part easier. Best known for the two easy classics of the Hannemann Route (V) and the Leberle Route (IV), but also has some harder climbs such as the Direct South Face or Spitzenstätter (VII). A good alternative when the weather is too uncertain for the longer routes on the Schüsselkarspitze.

Guidebooks
Best of Genuss Band 2 (2009), Bayerische Alpen Nordtirol (2004), Wetterstein Sud
