Crag features
The Maukspitze is best known for the Buhl Route on the west face, the first ascent of which is described in a chapter of Nanga Parbat Pilgrimage. It now also has a number of newer harder climbs.

Access notes
Hut base is the Ackerl Hut (ÖAV Sektion Kufstein, unstaffed).
