Gaul Wall, Herpin Rock Area, Guernsey © jimaye04
A short solid crag with many HVS's on clean rock. Climbs tend to be wall climbs with a few small overhangs and corners thrown in for good measure. Quite tidal and exposed to rough seas. Around the arete at the eastern end of the crag is Bicycle wall which offers easier slabby routes.
The platform below the crag offers some interesting wave-sculpted rockpools.
Good topo here.
Park at the big carpark by the motorcross track / restored German 22cm gun and walk straight through the front of the carpark and down the cliff. Scramble down on the right by a pile of dumped German barbed wire or abseil in. The Moderate descent of 'Easy Route' has fallen down.
No bird bans, but seagulls nest at the top of the crag.
