Le Biclop Haute Savoie, FRANCE
Climbs 200 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude 637m a.s.l – Faces SW
The Biclop is a large crag over 125 m high. The crag offers a huge number of sport and trad multipitch climbs although the first pitches are usually very polished. However, the pitches above offer superb polish free climbing. The site is a bit noisy, since it is next to a busy road. But in return, there is a beautiful view over Lake Annecy as soon as you get above the tree tops. The cliff generally dries very quickly and you can usually climb in winter if the weather is good. The routes are generally vertical to overhanging, but there are also some slabs and chimneys. The climbing is technical, with lots of small crimps. In some areas, there are a number of new routes creating a lot of bolts making the routes sometimes hard to find!
28 Falaises (2007), 22 Falaises autour d'Annecy (2004)
